Prestige buying in blue chip Albert Park

Suburb: Albert Park
Client Type: Prestige Home Buyer
Service: Assess > Negotiate
Purchase Price: Undisclosed
Property: c1875 French Victorian residence

Our client, referred to us by her financial advisor, engaged us to assess and negotiate for an amazing residence in the heart of Albert Park.

The property was a beautiful c1875 French Victorian residence built for former mayor, John Danks in 1874. Located by St Vincent Gardens, a heritage-listed English stylish garden, it is arguably in one of the best areas of Albert Park. It is exclusively positioned just moments to Albert Park Village, trams, the market, Albert Park Lake, schools and the beach.

The property was listed for auction and Senior Buyer Agent, Antony Bucello inspected the property and probed the selling agents for information about the competition and price expectations. Antony advised his client it was likely to exceed the quoted price range ($8 to $8.8 million) and to be prepared to dig deep on auction day. Antony also coordinated the contract reviews and agreed settlement terms prior to the auction that suited our client.

On auction day there was a huge crowd in attendance (100+) including journalists from the Herald Sun and The Age. The uniqueness of this property and it is premium location had drawn a lot of interest. After an opening vendor bid, two bidders went toe to toe. Antony waited for the right moment to get involved and started placing confident bids.  Antony secured it under the hammer with his happy client by his side.
