Blairgowrie is a seaside town on the Mornington Peninsula, approximately 63 km (or 87km) south of Melbourne’s city centre.

Blairgowrie is a gorgeous suburb with a lovely village vibe. The Blairgowrie Village has everything you need with a supermarket, post office, chemist, newsagency, some great cafes and restaurants, everything you need for holidays or permanent living.

The Blairgowrie foreshore beaches are superb. Blairgowrie Beach itself is five kilometres long and backed by a continuous foreshore reserve and the start of a series of long, sandy beaches and wide sand flats that swing in a 24km long, north facing arc.

Blairgowrie’s most famous landmark is the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron with the distinctive pier and marina and stunning bayside location. Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron is one of Victoria’s strongest and most vibrant clubs – yet remains relaxed and casual. The club is one of the three largest sailing clubs in Victoria, and hosts large fleets of both keel boats and off-the-beach dinghies and catamarans.

As Blairgowrie is located on a narrower part of the peninsula it boasts a front and a back beach. The back beach is great for exploring rock pools, picturesque walks and surfing.

For families, the local primary school is in Sorrento or Rye and for secondary college, the closest is in Rosebud.
